About Island Tidung
Tidung Island is the center of the Thousand Islands District South. The island isinhabited by more than 3 thousand families. Most of the inhabitants are fishermen.
on the east side of this island there are small Tidung Island. Now these two islands are connected by a very beautiful wooden bridge. We can along at the bridge, lookingdown the clear sea with stunning coral reefs and colorful fish. The length of the bridgeabout 2 miles.
History
The island is already inhabited by people since the Dutch colonial era. One of the island was named Island Tidung,which means island shelter.
